+25 years of experience in metrological calibrations.
What quantities does your Centre measure?
Our Centre can issue accredited certificates for Temperature, Relative Humidity and Pressure, for digital or mechanical thermometers and thermo-hygrometers, thermometers with external probes, data loggers, resistance thermometers, thermocouples, relative humidity transmitters, calibrators, glass thermometers, dial thermometers, pressure transducers, tyre pressure gauges, etc.For more information you can consult the Calibration Points Guide of our 00170 Calibration centre. You can also download our Certificate and Accreditation Table from the Accredia website or in the dedicated section of our Metrology laboratory on our website.
Does an accredited certificate have an expiration date? How often should an instrument be calibrated?
At present, an accredited certificate does not include an expiration date, as the issuing Centre is not aware of how the instrument is used. The due date for recalibration may be defined by laws, regulations, or the customer’s quality system.
What do I need to do to request a quotation/offer for calibration at your 00170 Calibration centre?
To proceed with the calibration of your instrument, you must send a request by email to sit123@camarelettronica.it, indicating the type of instrument to be calibrated and the required calibration points. The Centre will then send a calibration quotation with the terms of supply.
If I accept the calibration quotation/offer, what should I do?
If you approve our offer, you can stamp and sign it for acceptance and proceed with sending the instrument directly, properly and carefully packed, via your chosen courier. The instrument must be accompanied by the relevant transport document and, if available, your calibration purchase order. Upon receipt of the instrument, the Centre will issue an order confirmation indicating the expected delivery times.
What exactly should I send?
The instrument to be calibrated must be shipped complete and in working condition, with the indicator/data logger and its related probes, and fitted with batteries or a power supply. If the instrument is equipped with cables or docking stations for data download, it must be sent with all these accessories, together with any reading software and, if possible, the user manual (if it cannot be downloaded from the manufacturer’s website), in order to allow the laboratory to proceed efficiently. To avoid damage during transport, we recommend placing everything with ample protective packaging inside a box of suitable size for the contents.
What are the timeframes for performing a calibration?
The timeframes for performing a calibration are indicated in the quotation sent by the Centre to the customer and are confirmed when the order confirmation is issued.
What is the difference between Calibration and Adjustment/Calibration setup?
Calibration of a measuring instrument is the operation by which the relationship between the instrument’s indications and the values of the quantity being measured is determined. Calibration therefore “records” the instrument in its current state, without intervening in its adjustment. For this reason, there is also adjustment, also called calibration setup, which is the operation through which instruments are adjusted in order to improve their accuracy. In any case, it is always necessary to contact the 00170 Calibration Centre in advance to verify whether adjustment of an instrument is possible.
Can I request a copy of the calibration certificates of your reference standards?
The presentation of calibration certificates of a reference laboratory’s standards, in order to demonstrate its ability to perform traceable calibrations, is an unnecessary exercise, as the assessment of the laboratory’s competence and therefore compliance with ISO/IEC 17025—covering standards, facilities, personnel, quality system and working methods—is carried out by Accredia – Calibration Laboratories Department. It is sufficient for customers and any auditors to check the consistency of the item under calibration with the scope of accreditation described in the tables attached to the accreditation certificate and available on the website www.accredia.it
I have lost the calibration certificate for my instrument. What can I do?
Calibration Center 00170 Calibration can issue a certified true copy of the original certificate, which will be shipped by courier with freight collect. To find out the cost of the service, please contact our center at the email address sit123@camarelettronica.it. In the request email, you must indicate the certificate number or the instrument serial number.
